In the past three decades composite materials were playing a vital role in various sectors because of its unique characteristics such as high specific strength, high stiffness, high corrosion resistance, high hardness, high wear resistance and low density. The present work dealt with the influence of graphene reinforcements in different fraction (0.3%, 0.5% & 0.7%) with the aluminum (Al7050) composites were prepared by stir casting process and investigated mechanical and wear characteristics. The result revealed that 0.3 weight fraction of graphene is recommended for obtaining optimum results by stir casting process. © Research India Publications.
