In this paper, investigation of harmonic resonance analysis has been done for grid connected wind farm. Different types of harmonic resonances are considered and their impact on the grid has been investigated. The presence of capacitor banks in the grid system and size of the capacitor bank in generation of harmonic resonance has been thoroughly investigated and also the voltage distortion in the grid supply is analyzed for different operating modes. The proposed work has been done as a case study for a 200 MW wind farm. The proposed work has been implemented using DigSilent software and simulation results are presented. © 2019 IEEE.
