Abstract
Present study includes experimental and CFD investigations of a Nanofluid cooled heat generating circular pipe. Experiment is performed for validating the CFD procedure. CFD results are validated with the experimental data. In CFD study, the Reynolds number, diameter of pipe, and Prandtl number are varied as a parameters. Additionally, the effect of Al2O3-Nanofluid with water is also investigated with different concentrations (i.e. 1% to 5%). Velocity contour, temperature contour, heat transfer coefficient and friction factor are brought out. Heat transfer coefficient is found to be increases with increasing concentration of Nano particle. Friction factor and peak wall temperature are does not depend on the percentage of Nanoparticles. Peak wall temperature is does not change with diameter of pipe, if fluid velocity is constant. © IAEME Publication.
