This paper presents the evaluation of strength of pure epoxy material under uni-axial tensile loading containing a circular hole. Three specimens with different hole sizes were manufactured. ASTM standard D2343 was followed for testing and modeling of test specimen. The influence of the predetermined crack size on the above mentioned epoxy materials is assessed through experimental and 2D finite element analysis using ANSYS and the relative arguments were established to quantify the outcome of these results through the line diagram technique.
