Today’s agricultural engineering needs special and innovative Biofertilizers which plays a pivotal role in increasing yield, long term soil preservation and towards environment concern by increasing the supply or availability of micro and macro nutrients from natural sources. Rhizobium strains were isolated from root nodules of culinary variety of groundnut plants from Gudiyattam, Vellore d istrict TamilNadu,India.The isolated strains were semi-cultured in YEMA medium. This culture was added to a mixture of kitchen waste compost and vermicompost. A comparative study was conducted with respect to growth of fenugreek plants in the soil and manure in the absence and presence of rhizobium.
