This paper addresses a simple, easy to implement method for calculating the geographical area of a place on the map using the Shoelace Algorithm. The procedure basically involves placing the Longitudes and Latitudes of the polygon for which the area needs to be found into the technique and obtain its area. © 2017 IEEE.
