Abstract
Due to the low and decreasing availability of non-renewable resources, the concentration is shifted towards renewable resources. Solar energy is one of the largest and most abundant resources among renewable resources. Thus, there has been an increase in research in the field of solar energy. The main issue is that the sun rises from the east and sets in the west, that is, the sun’s rays move from east to west. The solar panels can harvest a maximum amount of energy only if the rays are exactly perpendicular to the surface of the panels. Thus, the panels also should rotate from east to west in such a way that the rays are always perpendicular to the surface of the panels. This paper proposes a mechanism to extract the maximum energy from renewable resources like solar energy. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2021.
