Fluids are used in mechanical system as lubricants to reduce the wear and tear of the system. Hence viscosity plays an important role in assessing the performance of the mechanical systems. Various methods are available for measurement of viscosity. In this paper a method to measure the viscosity of the liquid by using Ostwald viscometer is introduced. The complete process is interfaced using Lab view. © Research India Publications.
