Abstract
In recent years the children suffering from Autism have grown largely. It is a specific disorder which cannot be cured, but it can be treated accordingly to improve the conditions of the autistic children. Due to the evolution of smart devices in day to day life, these autistic children show high interest in these devices and get motivated by them. The children show more attention and interaction towards the smart device than attending to the person. These smart devices are mainly used to assist the children based on three methods, namely Computer-based, Virtual based and robotic based assistive technology. The proposed method is to develop a standalone cost-effective computer-based assistive device works based on the autistic student’s attention towards the task presented to them. The basictask is provided through separate window sequentially provided on the attention of the student. The device simultaneously monitors the physiological signals throughout the duration. Signals are studied based on the children reaction towards during the evaluation. The monitored signals and their effect on the given task are tailored and examined to improve the learning and teaching method for the autistic children. © 2016, International Journal of Pharmacy and Technology.
