Abstract
This study was conducted to find out the microbial overload in water samples. The research was done with water samples collected from different sources and checking it against an indicator. The indicator used for this purpose was methylene blue in three different compositions. The presence f the microbes or the microbial overload in the samples were found out using this. The results of the study revealed that, the most purest form of water absorbed less colour and the colour of the indicator remained almost the same. It was concluded that, contaminated water is high on microbial overload and also absorbs methylene blue. The oxidation reduction potential is the main principle which evaluates the microbial load and over load.
