Abstract
Nowadays the electromagnetic interference (EMI) causes a major problem in power electronic circuits particularly in high frequency application, this problem is more severe. There are a lot of techniques to reduce the EMI. But in higher frequency application the efficiency of other methods are low. In order to reduce the EMI in high frequency application the special technique called Chaotic PWM control method is used. This paper deals with the suppression of EMI in Boost converter. The result of this paper shows that Peak of the EMI will be reduced by the entire frequency band and also it reduces the entire range of frequency band. Simulation results are compared for the normal traditional PWM converter and analogue method of chaotic PWM pulse converter. ORCAD/PSPICE simulation tools are used to simulate the circuit. Here dc-dc converters are made to operate in chaotic mode, so that it can generate the spread spectra, which are used to mitigate EMI effectively. To analyze the spectrum, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method is used. Finally, the different simulation models are presented and with this simulation, one can able to analyze the effectiveness of reducing EMI in Boost converter circuit.
