A non-ideal high performance single stage inverter for producing a regulated, less THD ac output voltage which is larger than the unregulated dc input voltage is proposed in this work, wherein the traditional VSI always produces low ac instantaneous output voltage with more THD. The proposed system is controlled by appropriate instantaneous control input. Fully fledged mathematical modeling, analysis and the simulated and measured results are also presented for non-ideal boost inverter. The obtained results are effectively substantiates the proposed strategy. © Research India Publications.
