The modern manufacturing industries are witnessing a transient phase in their supply chain strategy. This study focuses 'lean', 'agile' and 'leagile' in the supply chain strategy. The success of an organisation in this competitive market depends on the management and improvement of supply chain. In this article, the performance metrics of a case supply chain have been modelled and then the dominant supply chain paradigm has been evaluated. A conceptual model for leagile supply chain metrics was developed. Using analytical network process, supply chain performance weight index for three paradigms have been computed. The supply chain performance weight index of lean, agile and leagile paradigms are 0.193, 0.301 and 0.506 respectively. Based on the desirability index score, 'leagile' has been selected as the best supply chain strategy. Using multi-grade fuzzy approach leagility index computed. Based on the computation, weaker areas have been identified and improvement proposals have been derived. Copyright © 2018 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
