This paper deals with design and monitoring of human blood pressure which are used in bio-medical applications during normal and critical conditions. Human blood pressure also called as arterial blood pressure is pressure exerted by blood on walls of blood vessels. Blood Pressure can be monitored by invasive and non-invasive methods. This paper deals with non-invasive method of monitoring blood pressure using MPX 5050DP Pressure sensor, a piezoresistive transducer is utilized which works on differential pressure principle. Depending on the cuff pressure and human blood pressure we get the systolic and diastolic pressure readings of the individual. Lab-View software is used in this method for data acquisition. © Research India Publications.
