Abstract

This research work provides a new and effective technology to find a solution for network reconstruction while minimizing power loss in the distribution network. Therefore, a solution based on two different probabilities-based flower pollination algorithms is provided, and the aim of this problem is to minimize the technical losses of power of the distribution network through optimal switch connections. The practical Indian 52 bus test feeder is utilized for carrying out the validity of the solution. Further, a feasibility test is also conducted and the outcomes prove the good optimization of power distribution networks. The flower pollination algorithm could be efficiently integrated, with Cauchy and Mittag–Leffler distribution resulting in the real power loss reduction effectively. Both solutions are compared, and it is concluded with the superiority of both Mittag–Leffler probability and Cauchy probability-based FPA during different outage conditions for the practical Indian 52 bus system.
