Decrease in probability of rear end collision has been largely attained using Honda Algorithm. The efficiency of Honda algorithm has been largely improvised over the years to attain higher accidental prevention index. The paper studies the optimization of Honda Algorithm using Particle Swarm Optimization method. The output of Honda algorithm is fed to PSO and final results are compared with existing Honda Algorithm. Results show that proposed algorithm avoids 7% more accident than standard Honda Algorithm optimized using Genetic Algorithm.
