Most of the construction projects in India experience ineffective inventory control because of the application of the conventional method. This conventional procurement management method is commonly practiced (more than 95 % of the time), which encourages improper utilization of resources in construction industries. Material procurement is a financially operated arena that requires technology transfer rather than common techniques. Construction stakeholders are generally unaware of E-Technology development. Recent E-Technology commerce networking and communication has been drastically improved and thus can be effectively utilized to produce uninterrupted supply chain management in construction procurement systems; additionally, this technological transfer system in construction industries can improve the profit margins and can avoid time overrun of construction projects. © 2019 by ASTM International.
