Abstract
The increase in the penetration of renewable energy generation technologies at the household level has led to the development of local energy trading. The local energy trading within a community reduces the dependency of the community on the main grid and reduces the electricity bill of the consumers. This paper proposes a pair matching methodology within the local energy market for the energy buyers and sellers. Firstly, the pair matching methodology maximizes the surplus power to be shared by considering the network constraints at the seller‟s premises. Secondly, the sharing pairs are identified between the sellers and buyers taking into the account of congested lines. Thirdly, the best sharing pairs are recommended by the local aggregator based on the network parameters. The proposed methodology is tested using a benchmark low voltage microgrid network. © 2020 Alpha Publishers.
