Abstract
In this manuscript, a conventional PI controller is used in voltage control loop of single-phase shunt active power filter (SAPF) for harmonic and reactive power compensation. And this manuscript discusses current extraction method based on PI control algorithms, SAPF design, and SAPF performance analysis using PI control technique. This control technique is demonstrated through MATLAB simulation and experimentation with FPGA controller-based prototype model. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
