we introduce the novel concept of Spatial Modulation (SM) for Uniform Planar Array especially the Uniform Rectangular Array (URA). To obtain the perks of millimeter wave (mm-Wave), Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system, the antenna modelling at the Transmitter and Receiver gains more attention due to the adversities in the propagation of mm-Wave in wireless communication. The proposed system utilizes SM for MIMO system in the case of ULA and URA which have a single RF chain at transmitter. The Uniform Rectangular Array (URA) provides Transmitter and Receiver Diversity and improves reliability of the network. From simulation results we infer that the proposed system has much better performance when compared to Uniform Linear Array. © 2019 IEEE.
