Abstract
Wireless networks are mostly used for data transmission and high frequency distribution. The open nature of wireless network makes it more volatile for interference attacks known as jamming. Jamming attacks leads to denial of service, complete data loss, partial data loss, missing data packets etc. In wireless network, a person with good knowledge of internal protocols can easily lay a network attack. Typically jamming attacks are of two types: external and internal. External jamming attacks are relatively easy to discover and tackle than internal attack. In an internal attack, the jammer may be one of the interfering node of data transmission. In these attacks, the adversary is active only for a short period of time and selectively targeting messages of high importance. In this paper, we discuss jamming attack as an internal model and develop three schema architecture for minimizing the attacks. © Research India Publications.
