Requirements prioritization is a critical issue in the field of software engineering to identify a subset of requirements from a pool, by taking into account different classes of opinions. Identification of stakeholders and the mode of getting information from all stakeholders is still a challenging task. This activity becomes too difficult, if the stakeholders are geographically distributed which actually happens in practice. In this paper, we have discussed about the challenging task of identifying the stakeholders who have to be involved in prioritization. We have addressed the issues that happen to be the hindrance for the above said activity and have justified the need for automation for prioritization. © Research India Publications.
