This paper shows the application of the discrete scale-space kernel T(n;t) with continuous parameter to scale-space analysis of digital curves. The numerical problems that arise in the implementation are addressed in sequence and feasible solutions are proposed. The scale-space analysis is applied to corner detection. The corner detector is shown to operate successfully on noisy curves and at varying orientation. © 1997 Pattern Recognition Society. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
