An alternative approach for the oxidation of organosulfides7 to corresponding organosulfones8and organosulfides9 is described using m-CPBA as oxidant under mild reactions. The oxidation reactions were carried out at 35 °C and 0 °C, oxidation products were isolated as organosulfones8andorganosulfoxides9 respectively. The oxidation products 8 and 9 were isolated in high yields.
