Abstract
The status monitoring of the electrical power distribution network is an essential factor in the power grid environment to provide a quality and an uninterruptable power supply to the customers. With the development of smart grid, the IoT (Internet of Things) devices can extent its application in the fifield of power system network which helps to monitor and provide the information to the operators. One of the major drawbacks in the IoT devices is the requirement of uninterruptable battery supply for the IoT sensors and systems to function. This paper provides an efficient methodology to continuously power the IoT devices without energy crisis which in turn reduces the cost of the overall network. This paper mainly discuss about the major information required for preventing the power blackout of the electrical distribution network with the help of smartly powered IoT system. © 2016, Central Board of Irrigation and Power.
