A new method is proposed for solving a two-stage transportation problem, which is based on zero point method [5]. This method is very simple, easy to understand and apply and also, provides more than one solution to the two-stage transportation problem. The proposed method helps the decision makers in the logistics related issues by aiding them in the decision making process and providing an optimal solution in a simple and effective manner. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
