Abstract

The present analysis deals with the numerical investigation of a time dependent laminar free convective flow of a viscous isochoric fluid past a moving semi-infinite vertical cylinder entrenched in a porous medium under the influence of Cross-diffusion. The problem consists of a system of coupled nonlinear boundary layer equations together with appropriate boundary conditions are solved using an implicit CrankNicholson finite difference scheme. The flow characteristics of velocity, temperature, concentration, wall shear stress, Nusselt number, Sherwood number based on the pertinent parameters are anatomized and are illustrated graphically. The comportment of streamlines and isolines for the fluid is in motion is also depicted graphically.
