Abstract
Big data is the recent trend in business for storing huge amount of business data We are familiar with the available Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence procedures and products which is suitable for our current data but in future we will extract data from almost everywhere Though our data warehouse can handle a very large amount of data and our business intelligence tools can process it In some cases we end up with problems where our DW combined with BI fails because of the resulting "BIG DATA" Thus storage of the Big Data in an optimized manner becomes an inevitable concept of concern In this paper, we propose a procedure for enhancement of the storage procedure of big data Since the data present in the warehouse is a huge amount of data, the data needs to be stored in an optimized manner Big data is a repository for huge amount of data In this paper, we are going to use Deflate data compression algorithm to optimize the storage of big data Deflate algorithm is a combination of LZ77 algorithm and Huffman coding Deflate is open source which makes it preferable choice over the other algorithms © Research India Publications.
