Abstract
Main objective of the study is to improve the seismic strengthening of structural elements in a RC building under seismic effect and analyze their performance of behaviour by the use of aluminium shear link braces. To enrich structural integrity and maintain the elements in stable and safe condition then the inverted v braces with aluminium links to be implemented in RC building to preventive from major collapse. The performances for the design of strengthening based on time history analysis. It is a comparative study of RC frame and one storey RC building designed as before for gravity load only with retrofitted RC buildings using inverted v brace along with link. This paper involves the design of basis earthquake of RC building and had been analysed by performing transient structural analysis (Time history analysis) by ANSYS 14.5. © 2015 Research India Publications.
