The samples were collected from five different locations in the study area and compared. The parameters studied were pH, Total Suspended Solids, Total Dissolved Solids, Total Hardness, Chlorides, Sulphate as SO4, Hexavalent Chromium and Total Chromium. The results were compared with WHO and ISI 10500-91 standards. Comparison of the physico-chemical parameters of the water sample with WHO and ISI limits showed that the groundwater is highly contaminated and it is hazardous for human consumption. © 2014, Sphinx Knowledge House.
