Abstract
An experimental setup was developed to study the tribological characteristics in rectangular copper micro channels using TiO2 nanofluids. This experimental facility was used to study the influence of heat transfer, fluid flow and pressure drop mainly on the tribological aspects of the above flows. A Property like laminar friction affects the thermal performance of TiO2 based nano fluids in smooth micro channels in our setup. Properties like heat transfer coefficient like Reynolds number, Nusselt Number, Pressure drop, heat taken away, and rise in temperature of the coolant as it flows out of the micro channels, evaluated from the experimental data may get affected by laminar friction. © Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
