2-(Arylthioureido)-3-[4′-(p-nitrophenylcarbonyl) piperazin-1′-yl carbonyl] pyridines (IV) were prepared using (III) and aryl thioureas. The structures of new compounds were established on the basis of elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectral data and their antibacterial activity was also determined.
