Several 1,2,4-triazolo-thiols were synthesized by the reaction of acid chlorides with thiosemicarbazide followed by ring closure in an alkaline medium. The structures of all newly synthesized compounds were elucidated by NMR and mass spectral data. The compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity.
