The application of Nano-sized particles is increasing because it strengthens the metal matrix composites and maintains the ductility of the matrix alloy. The proposed investigation deals with the synthesis and characterization of hybrid aluminium matrix reinforced with SiC and Graphene nano particles. The specimen was prepared by the proposed ultrasonic cavitation technique coupled with semisolid mechanical stirring method. Mechanical properties such as tensile strength, michrohardness and flexural was tested. Better strength and hardness are achieved with Al 356/5SiC-1Graphene. © 2015, Research India Publications.
