Abstract
The importance of learning communication skills has assumed greater significance in today’s world. The need of the hour is that the teacher has to come up with many innovative methods to enhance communication skills of his or her students. This paper tries to explore how a novel method called Eclectic approach help engineering students to promote their communication skills. Eclectic approach is a methodology that makes use of the varied language learning approaches instead of confining to one approach. It is a skilled based approach as the teacher can base his method or approach on the basis of the learner’s age, knowledge and aims and objectives of the lesson. This study was conducted for engineering students by dividing them into two groups such as control and experimental groups.
