This article deals with the global scenario of Hindi in the field of web media. In this era of globalization Hindi the national and official language of India and the Lingu Franca of Asia, is spoken by many and understood by many world over, has travelled a long way to make a niche by making it a global language. Today Hindi has left an imprint in the field of technology, commerce, web media etc;. The web media, the print and social media are a dominant medium to communicate with people present at any corner of the world. The use of Hindi in web media has become very popular in the past few years. It has made its mark in all the areas of social media beginning from Facebook to twitter. The introduction of Unicode, has made it easier to read and write Hindi in its correct Devanagari form, which has enhanced the promotion of Hindi in social media and web media. As India is developing the importance of Hindi too is growing in the world with more content in ecommerce, web, and digital media. Translation too plays a pivotal role in the development of Hindi and other digital mediums too. Today with the advent of new technologies, tools and softwares has facilitated the demand for the use of Hindi Language.
