The determination of moisture content in agricultural products is very important since presence of moisture affects the quality of agricultural products. Moisture content should be reduced and made optimum otherwise it would encourage fungi development. For measuring the capacitance of paddy grains designed integrated circuit was interfaced with PC and is used to determine the capacitance value, which inturn will give the moisture content of paddy grains. The arrangement used is a high precision impedance converter. It is a 12 bit frequency generator and 1 Mega samples / sec analog to digital converter. Ceramic capacitors were used to check the measuring circuit with which we can measure the capacitance of paddy. This same circuit can be used to measure the moisture content of any agricultural product. The moisture meter is accurate, fast and non-destructive which is used to measure moisture in the agricultural products in a more economical way by the farmers. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc..
