Abstract
The rapid and dynamic deployment nature of wireless sensor networks has been utilized in various war field conditions. There are approaches has been proposed for data collection but suffers with the problem of unvisited node conditions. We propose a new time variant approach based data estimation technique to support data collection in wireless sensor networks. The wireless sensor networks has considered with mobile sink nodes which collects information available at the sensor nodes located at various locations of war field. The sensor nodes post their recent updates at the sensor data nodes present at neighbor geographic regions. The mobile sinks traverse through various data sensors to collect recent troop information. The proposed approach selects set of data sinks to be visited at each time window and schedule the mobile sink accordingly. At every time window the list of unvisited data sensors are generated which does not get visited for last few time windows. Based on the selection list, a scheduling is performed based on the geographic location of data sinks in such a way to reduce the overall traversal time. The proposed approach avoids unvisited conditions and collects the recent information in efficient manner. The proposed approach has produced efficient results with less time complexity and higher rate data accuracy. © Research India Publications.
