Tracking the Maximum Wind Power Point using Neuro-Fuzzy Control with DFIG-BESS for Wind Energy System

Abstract
In current scenario, consumption of conventional energy sources is drastically increasingso efforts are put in to generate electrical power from renewable energy sources. The wind energy is one of the vital sources of renewable energy in the countries like India where wind power is enormous. The suggested technique involves Battery Energy Storage System which might facilitate in storing/releasing further power just in case of higher/lower wind speed constant grid power for wind energy system. Neuro fuzzy control technique is implemented in the voltage source converter of rotor side which controls the active and reactive power to trace the utmostwind power point. Mathematical models and control strategies are developed for DFIG generator and computer simulation are carried out using MATLAB tool. The simulation output specifies effective mechanism of active and reactive powers within the system. © 2018 IEEE.
