Abstract
The fact that English language proficiency opens several doors of opportunity to students and is vital to their academic and professional success, has greatly influenced policy planners and academic administrators to explore new options to transition from traditional classroom teaching methods still adopted is Indian language classrooms. In addition, the shifting paradigm of the 21st-century learning environment has created the need to redefine the process of language teaching and learning, emphasizing the need for an instructional model that will support learners realize their goals. This research article aims in identifying a road map by presenting a post method ELT pedagogy associated with the use listening activities in language learning, suitable for use among English language learners at the tertiary level, especially in Engineering colleges. The objective is to reorient exciting methodology, in teaching listening skills, with the intention to help teachers adopt better pedagogy aimed at realizing tangible outcomes. © 2019, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc..
