This paper proposes a modified pitch markers generation method that can be used for both pitch and duration modification. Except for changing some input parameters, the method remains common for both. The original pitch markers, modification and scaling factors are the input to the method. The modified pitch markers will be the output, generated according to the given modification and scaling factors. Thus providing simplified and modular approach for pitch and duration modification. The proposed method is illustrated for both static and dynamic pitch and duration modification cases. The experimental results indicate that the method can be used without any modification and with equal ease in both the cases. © 2013 IEEE.
