a micro strip filter using modified defected microstrip structure (DMS) is proposed with miniaturized size and improved rejection in required band. We have done simulation and comparative analysis of microstrip filter using different types of uniform and non-uniform DMS. Its equivalent lumped L-C circuit model is presented for the parametric relationship analysis. Comparison for band-pass and in-between the rejection band has been performed. After comparison of different DMS structure a novel defected micro-strip structure (DMS) with compensated microstrip line is designed, investigated and simulated for Wide band Low pass filter (WBLPF) performance. This can be applicable for S and C-band Radar application. © Research India Publications.
