Intelligent service robot development is an important and critical issue for human community applications. Robots have been increasingly integrated into working tasks to replace humans. But as easy it is to get a robot do work for you,the costlier it is to buy it. The project focuses on building a low cost robot which will be an amalgam of few different robots performing different functions as obstacle detection,human body detection,wireless remote controlled robot,accelerometer controlled robot,temperature detection,line following robot,etc. It is basically a multifunctional robot which could be used in various working environments by changing its functional mode according to the users need. It will be a synergistic blend of multiple sensors that could be used for intelligent service robotics. The best feature of this multifunctional robot would be the use of DTMF module which would allow you to control or change the functional modes of the robot by using your mobile even if you are miles away from it. The goal of this work is to build a possible module which could summarize the existing solutions from various fields and combine the cost efficient idea presented here,to head towards the creation of new systems and aim to future research directions. © 2016,International Journal of Pharmacy and Technology. A low cost multi-functional robot prototype for intelligent services

In older days security of a particular area was provided by security guard or by using some basic electronic locks. Which was unsecure and unreliable security system for particular areas like Home, Bank, Office, and Industries because any unauthorized person can easily take entry by main door or any windows and decimate the properties, humans, machines etc. Microcontroller-based embedded system play vital role in automation field. Today at most of the places like Server room, Control room, Prepaid Services, ATM, Bank, Industry, Office, Personal room, Home, Bank locker and many more places where employee or people want a reliable, unmanned, multilevel best security features for proper authentication. This paper presents a way to build and design a low-cost microcontroller based customizable prototype for Multiple Access Security System (MASS). This prototype provides the multiple security feature by using Keypad, RFID, Glass breaking sensor, NXP Microcontroller, Display, One Key Recovery feature, Separate key for Add new user and Delete exist user features. We can use either Keypad or RFID at a time for open the electronic lock if the user is authorized then Door is open automatically and after few second it’s close automatically and if the user is not a proper authorized user then buzzer start for long time for giving the message that some unauthorized user try to access. The best feature of this prototype is that user can enter the maximum 3 times wrong password by keypad or RFID card continuously after this security system are blocked at a couple of minutes and buzzer start automatically for long time, Glass breaking sensor is use for protecting the unauthorized entry by breaking the glass of the windows by giving a police siren. This paper is also describe the further implementation ideas on this prototype by increasing the security ways, including more feature and future scope of this paper and areas, where we can apply this project as a real time application by investing as much as low cost. © Research India Publications.

A low cost prototype for multiple access security system

Microcontroller-based embedded system play important role in Remote industrial automation. In Most of the modern manufacturing and processing industries like plastic, Textile, chemical, Pharmaceutical, Mixing-factory need Remote/manually industrial automation for safety and fast production process through combination of hardware and software. This paper presents a way to build a low-cost customizable prototype for remote industrial automation based on Microcontroller and RF Receiver-Transmitter module with multiple features like multiple mode of operation keypad/remote control, single/repeated process, set on/off time of a particular selected process, increase/decrease performance time of a selected process. And we can also control the speed, direction, mode of motion of an industry appliances like AC/DC, stepper, servo motor (depend on the applications) and also include emergency stop feature and an indication of current process display through LED(Light emitting diode) and LCD (Liquid crystal display). © 2016, International Journal of Pharmacy and Technology. A low-cost customizable prototype for remote industrial automation-an experimental study

Online social networks are a place where a large community of people publishes details about themselves and their friends which meant to be kept private. Many social networks provide options and security to user for the purpose of keeping their information private. Yet it is possible to predict private information from the released data using a learning algorithm. In this project, we address the inference attacks issues which uses released social networking data to predict private information. We then devise three possible sanitization techniques that could be used in various situations. Then, we explore the effectiveness of these techniques and attempt to use methods of collective inference to discover sensitive attributes of the data set. We show that we can decrease the effectiveness of both local and relational classification algorithms by using the sanitization methods we described. © Research India Publications.

Anamolized based security for private information attacks on social network

The quiz buzzer systems are widely used in schools, colleges, quizzing championships and TV programs. In the buzzer round of quiz contests, the question is thrown open to all the teams. The person who knows the answer hits the buzzer first and then answers the question. Sometimes two or more players hit the buzzer almost simultaneously and it is difficult to detect which of them has pressed first. In television shows, where the whole event is recorded, the actions are replayed in slow motion to detect the first hit. Such slow motions are possible only where huge funds are available to conduct the show. For this reason buzzer rounds are avoided for quiz contests held in colleges. This project is an electronic quiz buzzer that is affordable by the colleges and even individuals. Three different approaches have been used to operate the quiz buzzer with the same concept of sounding an alarm sound and display of the team number who hits the button first. These approaches are Fastest Finger First Indicator Circuit which uses the basic functionality of all the microprocessors, Quiz Game Controller using Microcontroller PIC16F877A which uses the characteristics of this microcontroller along with UNL2003 and Quiz Buzzer using 8051 Microcontroller AT89C51. All the three approaches are implemented and compared with each other based on the cost employed to develop the product, efficiency of the product and performance. After the successful completion of all the three products, we will try to incorporate unambiguous real time quiz buzzer to the concept of smart classroom by further adding RFID capabilities. © RJPT All right reserved.

A Comparative Analysis of Low Cost Solutions for Quiz Controller and Classroom Access Control Systems

The programmable thermostat is designed to control the Heating,Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Heating,Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) systems provide the people inside buildings with conditioned air so that they will have a comfortable and safe work environment. A programmable thermostat is both a programmer and a room thermostat. A programmer allows you to set on and off time periods to suit your own lifestyle. A room thermostat works by sensing the air temperature,switching on the heating when the air temperature falls below the thermostat setting,and switching it off once this set temperature has been reached. High-end programmable thermostat have key issues such as less memory,less CPU cycle,cost,separation of concerns. Present Thermostat by its hardware are provided with Wi-Fi and Z-wave protocol in order to connect with the server and provide remote access to handheld device. This approach is based on web based light weight framework work that utilizes less memory of the device. There are work done to design the thermostat using flash and action scripting language this has an overhead of utilizing more memory and CPU cycle. This work eliminates the z-wave protocol to perform the remote accesses of the programmable thermostat in order to provide a remote monitoring and control via Internet of the HVAC system thereby reducing the cost of the device. © 2016,International Journal of Pharmacy and Technology. An adaptable web based light weight framework for remote HVAC system using programmable thermostat

This paper presents the customizable design and implementation of a low cost smart multipurpose remote controlled digital clock based on ATmega8A microcontroller and DS1307 RTC. This smart clock is able to display the current Time, Date, and Day and also display the current Temperature, Light intensity on a single 16*2 LCD display by using the TMP35 and LDR sensor. Alarm set, Snooze set, Time set, Date set, and automatic morning alarm, automatic night lamp and many more features can be set by using setting keys or TV Remote keys. It is able to Sense the fire by using the fire sensor and give the different sound by using buzzer. Power saving and back-up features are provided by coin cell battery. © Research India Publications.

A Smart Multi-purpose Remote Controlled Digital Clock

The application of embedded systems in the field of Biomedical Sciences provides the means to build an accurate health and vital signs monitor. The usage of superficial and non-superficial sensors allows the extraction of various parameters required for the diagnostics of a patient. Such health monitoring devices are not a viable option for the less fortunate who continue to use traditional detection techniques. Furthermore, the systems commercially produced are not open to customization and hence may not be incremented upon to detect new parameters, hence requiring the purchase of a new system. The proposed system instead grants more customizability and portability to the user to allow the creation of a general purpose health monitor that is offered at a lower cost. In this project, we measure the viability of the proposed system by fabricating sensors of various vital signs such as sweat levels, body temperature, pulse rate and blood oxygenation levels using superficial sensors and a tracking system on a smart phone device that serves as a back end. An alternate cloud model approach has also been proposed considering the benefits of cloud computing and to enact the requirement of the ubiquitous nature of the project.

Cloud integrated low cost customizable smart medical chair for diagnosis and doctor assistance

Visually impaired individuals have relied on a variety of techniques to actively participate in society. There are many available technologies both wearable and non-wearable to assist them. These either provide them assistance in walking, or some help them to recognize things by audio or touch feedback. Our approach is to provide a low-cost wearable assistive system which can not only help blinds to navigate freely, but also tells them the time. The system will also enable a distant mobile user to monitor body vitals of the blind person and in case of any emergency the blind can call him with just one press of a button. So overall, the system provides not only aids to the blind, but also to his/her family members. © 2006-2014 Asian Research Publishing Network (ARPN).

Smart wearable prototype for visually impaired

in modern day disaster recovery mission has become one of the top priorities in any natural disaster management regime. Smart autonomous robots may play a significant role in such missions, including search for life under earth quake hit rubbles, Tsunami hit islands, de-mining in war affected areas and many other such situations. This paper presents a way to build a low cost rescuing 4-legged bot prototype based on Arduino with multiple features like obstacle avoidance , wireless communication as well as sending the pictures of the area using on board wireless camera. The bot can also fly using heli rotors and can be controlled wirelessly by 4 channel transmitter. In others words we can say that it can walk, it can climb on sloppy surface and it can fly also when needed. This 4-legged-bot is built on an ATmega8 microcontroller which has been programmed using Arduino. This paper also describes the method of terrain negotiation navigation in a hazardous field.
