Cloud computing is a very powerful concept that can be used to enhance the next generation data center and allow service provider to use data center capability provided by cloud and develop the application based on user requirement. This work aims to develop an android based web application namely Cloud based Virtual Reporting Application (VRA) wherein the database is stored on the cloud which resembles large storage facility. VRA is basically an android application which can be used by managers of the organization to monitor their employees. It is one kind of employee monitoring application where the manager can monitor the location of the employee and keep track of the his location whether the employee has done the allocated work or not. The app makes use of GPS technology available in the mobile phone to monitor the location. In addition to this, OPENCV library is used for face recognition to verify the authentication of the employee. © 2016 SERSC.

Impetus to Supply Chain Decisions with IT Tools: An Empirical Study

The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) is a social security scheme launched by the government of India, with a prime objective to transfer of cash subsidy directly to the people living below poverty line and entitlements directly to the beneficiary, whose identification would be verified on the base of ‘Aadhaar Card’ linked with the bank account. Observably, this foresighted steps has been taken by the government of India after experiencing so many years of hurdles such as unnecessary delays, leakages and diversion of benefits which take place while providing subsidy to the needy people. In a country like India where more than 25% people are living below poverty line and the benefit of, Central and State Governments sponsored schemes are not reaching them. In spite of spending huge amount and deploying substantial workforce these poor classes are still struggling for their day to day needs like food, shelter, clothing, health, education etc. Various reasons can be mentioned behind this imbalance but it is a proven fact that all is not well. Certain major shortcomings in this regard are non-scientific method for the identification of the beneficiary, lack of proper and effective channels of distribution, lack of interest of implementation of concerning authority, delay in delivery of service, reaching beneficiaries not at its doorsteps and lack of awareness on the benefit of direct benefit transfer. Based on the above backdrop, this paper investigates the public awareness on direct benefit transfer in Vellore District, Tamil Nadu. The creation of job in the manufacturing sector will have multiplier effect in creating jobs in medium and small-scale industries downstream, logistics, transportation, customer service and technical support. It has been projected that the make in India campaign could add up to 90 million jobs in next decade. According to a Mckinsey analysis, rising demand in India, with the MNCs' desire to diversify their production to include low-cost plants in countries other than China, could help India's manufacturing sector to grow six-fold by 2025, creating up to 90 million jobs. Over the next decade, the banking sector is projected to create up to two million new jobs, driven by the efforts of the RBI and the government of India to integrate financial services into rural areas. The aim of present government is to improve the standard of living of economically weaker section and eradicate poverty through various new programmes like Make in India a manufacturing hub campaign so that people may have real shift from being economically poor into middle class which will lead to good business opportunities and get more employment opportunities in India. So, the present study examines the perception of budding entrepreneurs towards make in India a manufacturing hub campaign it will really help the people to transform India into a global manufacturing hub and there by generate more employment opportunities for educated youth in India. Financial Inclusion in India-An Overview

Taking optimal investment decision is very challenging in the current scenario. Traditionally, the investors were followed fundamental analysis or technical analysis in the investment decision. But, today the market and technology are growing very faster than the investors' ideas. Every new method is coming for the investment analysis. All the decisions are future oriented which relies uncertainty. It is inevitable to apply a tool which is linked with the uncertainty. Hence, in this study, 'IVFS' technique has been used which measures the uncertainty. Finding out the exact membership in Interval Valued Fuzzy is a crucial part in the investment analysis. To reduce this problem, here the notion of neural reduct fuzzy set of interval valued fuzzy set has been applied. In a clear sense, this paper finds the membership using interval value and converge into one single point that act as member for the fuzzy set.

PSU banks may have the larger market share in bank deposits but private banks are attracting more urban new generation customers. Younger people have experienced the service and systems in the private sector and are preferring them over PSU banks. While the nationalized banks are being shunned by investors, the new generation private banks have been hitting new highs on the back of new initiatives, which include digital technology. This paper attempts to compare the performance of PSU banks and Private Banks in the Midcap funds Investment sector.

Performance of midcap funds-private vs public sector banks - A comparative study

Purpose: The economic liberalization and globalization have brought a fervent environment for the common and small investors who are willing to participate in the various investment avenues available in India. There are large number of small investors, who have the ability to save and make an investment in share market, gold, real estate, insurance and post office. In recent years, numerous researches have been conducted on investors’ perception towards various investment from various perspectives. From a survey on investment literatures of equity, insurance, and mutual fund perspective, there are some studies based on the investment on various avenues made by researchers. However, the investors’ perception towards various investment avenues in Vellore city, Tamil Nadu and India is yet to be explored. This article is therefore timely and fills the gap in investment avenues literature. Furthermore, by pooling small amounts of money into a single investment value, individual investors are able to participate in investment strategies that would have otherwise been financially unfeasible. The Indian investment industry is witnessing a rapid growth as a result of infrastructural development, manufacturing and service sector, in personal financial assets and rise in foreign participation. With the growing risk appetite, rising income, and increasing awareness. Mutual funds and shares are becoming a preferred investment vehicles like bank fixed deposits and post office savings that are considered safe. The present empirical study is an attempt to examine the investors’ perception towards various investment avenues in Vellore city, Tamil Nadu, India. Design/Methodology/Approach: Primary data using convenient sampling through questionnaire and interview method as well as secondary data from wide range of literature from various journal publications had been utilized. Frequency distribution, percentage analysis, Mann Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis Test were used to test the objectives of the study. In order to test the reliability of the scale, the researchers applied Cronbach’s Alpha (CFA) to measure the internal consistency of the variables. Findings: The findings of the study on investors’ perception towards various investment avenues emphasized that the aged and high income investors prefer to invest only in post office and bank deposits for safety investment reason. Originality/Value: An Empirical Analysis on Investors’ perception towards various investment avenues in Vellore city, Tamil Nadu and India is the original work of the authors. © 2015, (Publisher).
