AbstractThis article aims to study theoretically the combined magneto hydrodynamic flows of casson viscoplastic nanofluid from a horizontal isothermal circular cylinder in non-Darcy porous medium. The impacts of Brownian motion and thermophoresis are consolidated and studied. The governing partial differential equations are converted into nonlinear ordinary differential equations using suitable non-similarity transformation and are solved numerically using Keller-Box finite difference technique. The numerical method is validated with previous published work and the results are found to be in excellent agreement. Numerical results for velocity, temperature, concentration along with skin friction coefficient, heat and mass transfer rate are discussed for various values of physical parameters. It is observed that velocity, heat and mass transfer rate are increased with increasing casson fluid parameter whereas temperature, concentration and skin friction are decreased. Velocity is reduced with increasing Forchheimer parameter whereas temperature and nano-particle concentration are both enhanced. An increase in magnetic parameter is seen to increase temperature and concentration whereas velocity, skin friction heat and mass transfer rate are decreased. The present model finds applications in electric-conductive nano-materials of potential use in aviation and different enterprises, energy systems and thermal enhancement of industrial flow processes.

Non-Similar Comutational Solutions for Double-Diffusive MHD Transport Phenomena for Non-Newtnian Nanofluid From a Horizontal Circular Cylinder

Background: Health is the major concern of each and every individual. Being fit both physically and mentally is not an easy task. Yoga and meditation is considered as an optimal solution for the same. In Yoga, Yogi (person who does yoga) performs various asanas (body postures) which energize and refresh their body cells and keep them fit. The real purpose of yoga asanas and breathing techniques is to achieve optimal health possibly the best physical condition based on their life style, environment, age and genetics. Various clinical studies claim that yoga can provide improved mental and physical fitness rather than other physical training or stress management techniques. Objective: Our aim is to increase the performance of the postures of the Yogis, through yoga assistant kit with prediction intelligence which will assist the person to perform suitable yoga postures. This will help the Yogis to achieve more positive results in the practice of Yoga, with highest quality of meditation. The developed IoT kit consists of a hardware module (embedded in wrist band) and a mobile application. The yogi should wear the wrist band while practising yoga. The wrist band consists of various sensors like temperature sensor, pressure sensor, humidity sensor etc. which sense body parameters and store it in a central database. Using neural networks and embedded intelligence our system aims to predict the number of sun salutations a person (yogi) should perform based on the parameters collected from the kit. The results showed that our system works as a virtual trainer which suggests the yogi with the appropriate asanas to be performed based on present body conditions. Methods: It is safe to wear this light weight wrist band as it is made up of a cotton band. The components are embedded inside the band and is safe to use though it uses button cells as a power source. The system is charged by button cells. It is both economical and safe to use it as the kit is designed in such a manner that it doesn’t cause any sort of skin allergies or side effects.&nbsp;Discussion: There is no standard yoga assistant kit available in the market as of now. So our proposed kit can assist the yoga performers to perform yoga in an efficient manner. The intention of our kit is not to improve the health of a yoga person instead it focuses on assisting the yoga person with a set of asanas to be performed at a particular body condition. The smart phone version provides live assistance for the yoga performer with relevant videos. The kit doesn’t consist of any expensive components and hence we can market this product in a nominal price. We performed a clinical study in Amrutha Yoga centre and the results showed that it is non allergic and safe to use for both kids and elder persons. Conclusion: Thus our proposed yoga kit will be an intelligent assistant for every yoga performer to practice yoga efficiently and effectively.

Prediction Intelligence System Based Real Time Monitoring of Yoga Performers

Deinococcus radiodurans, an extremely radioresistant bacterium has a multipartite genome system and ploidy. Mechanisms underlying such types of bacterial genome maintenance and its role in extraordinary radioresistance are not known in this bacterium. Chromosome I (Chr I), chromosome II (Chr II) and megaplasmid (Mp) encode its own set of genome partitioning proteins. Here, we have characterized P-loop ATPases of Chr II (ParA2) and Mp (ParA3) and their roles in the maintenance of genome copies and extraordinary radioresistance. Purified ParA2 and ParA3 showed nearly similar polymerization kinetics and interaction patterns with DNA. Electron microscopic examination of purified proteins incubated with DNA showed polymerization on nicked circular dsDNA. ParA2 and ParA3 showed both homotypic and heterotypic interactions to each other, but not with ParA1 (ParA of Chr I). Similarly, ParA2 and ParA3 interacted with ParB2 and ParB3 but not with ParB1 in vivo. ParB2 and ParB3 interaction with cis-elements located upstream to the corresponding parAB operon was found to be sequence-specific. Unlike single mutant of parA2 and parA3, their double mutant (ΔparA2ΔParA3) affected copy number of cognate genome elements and resistance to γ-radiation as well as hydrogen peroxide in this bacterium. These results suggested that ParA2 and ParA3 are DNA-binding ATPases producing higher order polymers on DNA and are functionally redundant in the maintenance of secondary genome elements in D. radiodurans. The findings also suggest the involvement of secondary genome elements such as Chr II and Mp in the extraordinary radioresistance of D. radiodurans. © 2019 The Author(s).

ParA proteins of secondary genome elements cross-talk and regulate radioresistance through genome copy number reduction in Deinococcus radiodurans

Cloud computing is a popular computing paradigm among several computing environments, but a deficit in trust among the users and the service providers prevents the large adoption of the cloud in most of the businesses. Cloud service providers should give assurances for providing the reliable services to the cloud consumers. The proposed work explains about the architecture of the trust evaluation model and considered four service measurement indexes (SMI) namely: availability, success rate, turnaround efficiency and feedback about a resource. The trust value for each resource is estimated by the fuzzy evaluation engine in which a fuzzy input set is derived from the SMI parameters. By applying a fuzzy inference rule on fuzzy input sets will yield a fuzzy output set and finally, the most trusted resource value is calculated by defuzzification process called center of gravity. A fuzzy based trust evaluation model for service selection in cloud environment

The applicability of miniaturised small punch tests (SPT) to capture thermal aging degradation of two commonly used low alloy steels (LAS) viz. Mn-Ni-Mo and Cr-Mo-V steels, was investigated. This was done by comparing the SPT results to the results of the conventional Charpy V-notch (CVN) tests, fractographic analysis and results of chemical etching test. Both the steels were subjected to accelerated thermal aging at 450 °C (8400 h for Mn-Ni-Mo steel and 5600 h for Cr-Mo-V steel). For both LAS, conventional CVN tests showed reduction in the impact energy and fractographic analysis indicated increase in the percentage brittle fracture with thermal aging. Fractographs indicated intergranular (IG) brittle fracture for the Mn-Ni-Mo steel and transgrannular (TG) brittle fracture for the Cr-Mo-V steel. This was corroborated by the chemical etching tests that showed preferential attack at prior austenitic grain boundaries (PAGBs) for Mn-Ni-Mo steel and conspicuous absence of such IG attack for Cr-Mo-V steel. SPT could clearly capture the embrittlement due to thermal aging for both the LAS as investigated by the conventional CVN testing. However, SPT could not establish the ductile to brittle transition temperature (TSP) as the lower shelf energy was not reached even at the lowest possible test temperature (-196 °C). SPT has been successful in capturing the indications of embrittlement due to thermal aging for both the LAS i.e. it is able to show the loss of ductility and increase in the fraction of brittle fracture. However, the use of SPT, at least in the present form, as an alternative to the most commonly used CVN test, for the materials studied is not recommended. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.

Detection of embrittlement in low alloy steels due to thermal aging by small punch test

Cr–Mo–V reactor pressure vessel steel (RPV) was subjected to accelerated thermal aging at 450 °C for durations up to 8400 h. This steel showed embrittlement with aging, as the impact energy and the hardness reduced monotonically with aging duration. These coincided with an increase in the transgranular (TG) brittle fracture, and a conspicuous absence of intergranular (IG) fracture. Further, absence of preferential attack at the prior austenite grain boundaries ruled out the possibility of impurity as a cause for the observed degradation. In addition, insignificant changes in grain size and misorientation indicated no major role of microstructural changes in the embrittlement. However, the coarsening of carbides and the corresponding depletion of the Cr &amp; Mo at the carbide matrix interface region, supported by the reduced hardness, were shown to have resulted in the degradation. The carbides were identified to be predominantly of Cr-rich M7C3 along with M23C6 in the as-received low alloy steel. While M23C6 increased with aging duration, indicating a transformation of M7C3→M23C6, the primary reason for the embrittlement is attributed to the coarsening of the carbides. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.

A Hybrid Feature Selection Approach for Handling a High-Dimensional Data

Reputation System is a system which allow users to rate and review an organization or a product so that other users or customers can judge an organization or a product be seeing the reviews and ratings of an organization or a product. But the predictive value of reputation reporting system can be manipulated either by buyers or competitors to promote or demote a product or an organization. Fake review detection has attracted significant research attention in recent years. Some research has been done using dataset produced by fake review generator which was found inefficient. Some research has been done using behavioral pattern of spammers and pattern of fake reviews written which has produced some better results. In this paper, we implemented an approach to detect biased feedback using supervised machine learning algorithm. We used data from yelp.com which contains labelled dataset of restaurants in New York to train and test different classifier. In the end, we compared the accuracy of different classifiers to conclude which classifier has worked best on textual data. This model can be used by any service or product provider companies to detect and deleted biased feedback from their website. © BEIESP.
