In 21st century race towards industrialization is fast {\&} furious. Due to the Industrial movements natural environment is heavily influenced. Environmental marketing is one best possible way to protect the environment. Both the organizations {\&} consumers have changed their mind to address this issue. Green consumerism has taken the role of catalyst for environmental marketing. Aim of this paper to analyze the consumer behavior towards environmental marketing. This article also establishes the relationship between consumer behavior and purchasing decision of the customer on the green marketing ground. This research paper highlights the cause behind environmental marketing along with the initiative taken by the industries to promote environmental marketing.

Green Consumerism: Catalyst for Environmental Marketing

The role of employee engagement and satisfaction is very important in today’s world of changing labour market, technology, and job patterns. With an increase in women participating in the labour market, understanding their attitude towards the glass ceiling and its relationship with work engagement and job satisfaction is important for individual, organisational, and societal progress. This article studies the relationship between glass ceiling beliefs and job satisfaction through the mediating role of work engagement. Four hundred twenty women employees were surveyed as the sample for this study and structural equation modelling was used to understand the relationships. The relationship between glass ceiling beliefs and job satisfaction was found to be fully mediated by work engagement. The study recommends longitudinal studies for future studies in this area. Linking women’s glass ceiling beliefs and employee satisfaction: The mediation of engagement

Glass ceiling, the metaphor, is an invisible barrier that impede the upward movement of women to high level management in the organisation. A growing economy like India with a prospective ownership of more banking assets foresees more job opportunities in the banking sector. Liberalised reforms and women-friendly environment in the banking sector not only weaken the male domination in that area but also attracted more women employees towards it. A persistent increase in percentage of women employees in the banking sector shows a positive sign of breaking of glass ceiling. The study analyses glass ceiling affects in different types of banks - public sector, private sector and foreign bank using secondary data and also analyses the character and attitude of women employees towards the glass ceiling beliefs using a questionnaire survey. A steady increase in women employment participation in the banking sector is analysed from secondary data. Attitude on glass ceiling beliefs provide a clear picture of women's view on this. This study may shed light to more women empowerment initiatives from personal, organisational and governmental aspects as it provide a clear data required. The study may act as a path finder to different concepts of career such as training, succession planning, etc. © 2018 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Towards the shattering of glass ceiling in the Indian banking sector: A comparative analysis among public, private and foreign banks

Pharmacy is the science and method of preparing and dispensing drugs. It is a vocation that links health sciences with chemical sciences and targets to ensure the safe and effective use of drugs. Pharmacists, also known as chemists or druggists are healthcare professionals who practice in pharmacy, the field of health sciences focusing on safe and effective use of medication. Every pharmacist is a member of the health care team directly involved with patient care. The present study examines the perceptions of female pharmacists with regard to their work - life balances. Descriptive research with convenient sampling technique elicited responses from 47 pharmacists from southern India across various private hospitals. In spite of the fewer odds and ends prevailing in the organization, results revealed that they were happy with their present job. Even though the pharmacists could spend only very little quality time with their family, they were still able to balance their work and family life.

A Study on Work Life Balance of Female Pharmacists working in Private Hospitals

In dairy, where the product shelf life is too short, integrated production and distribution (P-D) planning is one of the important decision making area. This paper basically discusses one such P-D planning of an Indian milk industry. A three-echelon supply chain model is developed including suppliers, plant and retailers. Fluid milk products and milk made products are the two product families that are produced by the plant, where several important issues are considered with P-D planning like, deterioration rate of raw milk and final products, cost related issues of raw milk, transportation, collection, production, inventory, set up, and time related issues in late or early delivery of the final products to retailers. This model, in fact includes both production scheduling and distribution scheduling. A mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model is used to formulate the above situation to maximise the overall profit contribution of the business. The MILP is solved by using OPL language in CPLEX, and a comparison is made with the current business situation and the improved condition through sensitivity analysis of the collection; production and distribution parameters. Knowledge Integration Mechanisms, Organizational Capabilities and Factors of Knowledge Worker Productivity: A Selective Study of Indian Software Firms

This exploratory research seeks to identify the relationships between the leadership, empowerment and commitment within the integrated model of competing values framework (CVF) of organisational culture. A conceptual model which relates the constructs to commitment is developed. The study attempts to use a social constructionist approach and scenario planning, which falls under the broader realm of qualitative analysis. Hypothetical cases are used to develop two scenarios. The study proposes an integrated model of CVF, and also provides greater understanding of the competencies required in the organisation to move from one competing value quadrant to another. The paper helps managers gain better understanding of managerial roles, their inter-relationships to each other and how to apply them more effectively. It further develops an understanding by providing a model of how to transform an organisation to be a self-sustained one. The study also brings forth a constructive approach in management. An empirical research on quality of work-life - an employee perspective

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among dimensions of online second-hand shopping, customer satisfaction, and repurchase intention. Responses obtained from 608 Indian online second-hand shoppers show that the dimensions of online second-hand shopping such as price, website quality, nostalgia, and brand image influence customer satisfaction. In addition, customer satisfaction positively affects repurchase intention. Findings of the present study provide intuitive guidelines for online second-hand marketers in approaching emerging markets through effective online shopping strategies.

Relationships Among Dimensions of Online Second-Hand Shopping, Satisfaction, and Repurchase Intention

Purpose: Mobile instant messaging (MIM) applications have grown profusely worldwide in recent years in tandem with increased smartphone usage. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships among perceived benefits, personality traits, MIM satisfaction, and social capital responses. Design/methodology/approach: This paper uses partial least squares-SEM to investigate proposed hypotheses based on a sample of 1,519 WhatsApp users. Findings: The results indicate that perceived benefits of MIM and personality traits have a positive influence on MIM satisfaction; and MIM satisfaction in turn has a positive effect on users’ social capital responses. MIM satisfaction partially mediates the relationships between perceived benefits, traits, and social capital. Additionally, the results indicate positive significant effect of Gen X and Y on social capital among other control variables. Research limitations/implications: This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on MIM. The results also provide important implications for MIM application developers and instigate future research in the MIM platform. Originality/value: This study is the first attempt in integrating perceived benefits, personality traits, and social capital in MIM literature. © 2018, Emerald Publishing Limited.
