Mobile phones have turned out to be indispensable in today's society and are regarded as a communication technology revolution. Many psychologists have started giving warnings about the ill effects of these technologies and studies are also pointing towards potential addictive behaviour towards use of mobile phones. This study tries to find out the role of excessive mobile phone usage in the m-health of users. The paper tries to unravel that there is a need to shift focus from m-health to m-p-health, mobile psychological health. The study looks at whether excessive mobile phone usage falls under the category of non-drug addiction and also tries to identify the product attributes and services perception of mobile phone usage and behaviour dysfunctionalities. Utilitarian dimensions and behavioural inconsistencies of young fanatic mobile phone users - a study on Indian perspectives

Integrated production-distribution planning has become a notable area of interest for researchers and practitioners in the last two decades. Transshipment is an important phenomenon in the planning especially when products are needed to be shared among different market locations. In this paper, a production-distribution planning model for a two echelon supply chain including plants-warehouses and customer regions are proposed, considering transshipment among the warehouses. The problem is described in two parts. In the first part a discussion on general transshipment problem is discussed and in the second part the model is modified for use in dairy industry as a special case. In dairy industry, the shelf life of the products is smaller as compared to other products. The primary objective of this paper is to minimise the total cost using some typical strategies, comprising of three conditions of production cost, i.e., at normal production rates, applying outsourcing and at over time production; inventory holding costs; backordering cost; changing workforce level; transshipment cost and transportation cost. Further genetic algorithm is used to find the solution to a specific case problem. Finally, some meaningful conclusions mere drawn. © 2017 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

An integrated production-distribution planning with transshipment between warehouses

The study investigates the Co-integration between Capital formation and Interest rate in the period of High and low growth scenarios of the economy for the period 1992-2015. We built a multivariate framework by constructing a model of Capital Formation, Interest rate and GDP Growth rate employing ARDL Bounds Test in addition to Johansen Maximum likelihood procedure. Though ARDL bound and Johansen Integration test establish a long run equilibrium relationship between Capital Formation and Interest rate in conjunction with GDP growth rate. The results of the study are not within the expectation of the popular understanding on possible casualty of the Interest rate on the Capital formation. However, the model demonstrates a surprise unidirectional reverse casualty on interest by Capital formation and GDP and justified the reason for co-integration. © Serials Publication Pvt. Ltd.

Does interest rate really triggers capital formation in India?

This research aimed at studying the impact of consumer sentiment Index on NSE Nifty volatility. In order to establish a possible long term and short term relationship we conducted Johansen co-integration test followed by VEC model. The result established that there is long term and short term relationship between NIFTY and Consumer Sentiment Index. The positive result of the Indian context through a light on the ongoing debate where the relationship is not universally accepted in the European and US markets. © Serials Publication Pvt. Ltd.

Impact of consumer sentiment index on equity market index: A study on Indian stock market

Polythiophene-tinoxide (PT-SnO2) nanocomposites were prepared by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization, in the presence of various concentrations of SnO2 nanoparticles. Samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Zeta potential measurements. Morphologies and elemental compositions were investigated by transmission electron microscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The photoconductivity of the nanocomposites was studied by field-dependent dark and photo conductivity measurements. Their dielectric properties were investigated using dielectric spectroscopy, in the frequency range of 1kHz-1 MHz. The results indicated that the SnO2 nanoparticles in the PT-SnO2 nanocomposite were responsible for its enhanced dielectric performance. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd.

Purpose: The online brings an entire world inside the system. It provides unmitigated things to their clients. In the busy world, people want everything in their hand, where and when they need. The individuals are 'starving of time'. The purpose of the study is to the analyze the shopping style of youth in a specific segmentation and it displays the involvement of gender factor in shopping field. The research intention is to examine whether the youth preference is high amount towards the online or offline shopping. Design/Methodology: The research study was conducted by using survey method. The survey questionnaire was circulated to the VIT University students in Vellore and data collected from their responses. The survey conducted through the social network and via an email. The quantitative results are the useful sources of information and shows online and offline shopping behavior of youth. Findings: The study is to find out the youth buying behavior especially in a segment of people toward online and offline purchase. The survey identifies the gender discrepancy in shopping style and it led to be knowledgeable about the youth buying behavior and need to be aware of several problems related to this. The research implies the youth mindset towards the benefit and disadvantages of both the shopping styles. Original/Values: The quantitative survey improve the quality and accuracy of the research. The study make to known the gender shopping styles in students sector. The survey questionnaire reveals the statistical inference of the population and public outlook on the subject of shopping.

E-Agriculture plays key role in profitable and increased agriculture in the world with the usage of modern Information Technology and Information Communication Technology techniques .In this paper, we have an analysis on the awareness and usage of various E-Agriculture techniques currently which in practice in India by the rural farmers who resides in katpadi taluk categorized under various factors like age, gender and education. And from the result analysis obtained from the purposive survey conducted, we came to a conclusion about the awareness and reach of various E-Agricultural practices followed by the rural masses in Katpadi taluk in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu.
