Abstract
Today environmental pollution is one of the key concerns for every one's home, for the entire eco system in the world. Pollution is one of key element causes different health issues, affecting the agricultural productivity, environmental temperature rise, sea level increase etc. One of the major contributor for this pollution is emission from conventional coal based power production which contributes to 40% of the total pollution in the world. To reduce the coal based power production the only alternative is to maximize the use of renewable power production. These renewable power productions will not generate pollution. Wind, solar and hydro power production. Tough we cannot depend only on renewable power production for our entire power requirement. Still we can maximize the use of these renewable power productions. This will reduce the pollution. In this paper we are describing about the wind industry at India. To maximize the returns to the wind turbine customer, how to identify the suitable turbine based on different parameter is described. This will be useful for the customers to select the appropriate wind turbine based on their requirement. Also improve the profitability of the wind turbine manufacturer's, a study is conducted in a wind turbine manufacturing company and identify the root causes for its growth path. The identified root cause as higher inventory. To solve this issue the study has been done for the entire supply chain of the wind turbine manufacturer and implemented the right inventory model as a solution. This will be helpful for the wind turbine manufacturer to improve their profitability. This can be extended to forecasting model also.
