A DC-DC buck converter with input output isolation as a part of requirement of a Li-ion battery management system has been developed. This buck converter is used to boost charge in individual Li-ion cell during the process charge equalization. The topology used in this case is a fly-back converter topology because of its ease of design and implementation and also because of its size. © Research India Publications.
