Abstract

In this paper, the authors present a current issue of balancing the task between the demand and the generated power with a new controller design. A controller is modelled for reducing the peak demand by an intelligent design scheduler using Particle swarm optimization technique. The power requirement when the peak load exists tends to create a more non eco friendly transformation in power generation. In this research work, Particle swarm optimization creates a minimal load schedule in order to minimize the peak demand to comfort the users. Simulation is carried out using MATLAB with the performance of intelligent demand response modeling using direct load control technique. The highlight of this research work is to develop a stable controller for the realistic demand response model for thermostatic air-conditioning loads. © Springer Science+Business Media Singapore 2016.
